World Skills Chair Man visited Shanghai City

Standing on the floor of a 97-year-old factory building with sweeping views of the huangpu river, Simon bartley, President of the world skills organisation, said that after a year's search for a location for the skills museum, yangpu binjiang was chosen as one of the alternative locations in Shanghai."Today is the first time I have walked into the building and turned the century-old factory building into a museum. It's a wonderful decision."Bartley enthuses that 97 years ago, many workers used to work in the old factory building, which matches the world skills organization's mission of "promoting vocational skills and enhancing workers' status".

As for what the world skills museum will display in the future, bartley said that the world skills organization has set up a special group for discussion, and preliminarily decided that the museum will display the history of world skills action, the stories of participants and old technicians in the world skills competition and other contents. The museum will introduce models, videos and prototypes, as well as machines used by participants since the world skills competition, to create strong interaction and attract more young people to learn about the history of world skills development.
